The final obstacle is a bridge that goes over a deep canyon, which was honestly the scariest part for me, but it was an unforgettable adventure.

Regardless, the experience is magical, and the views are jaw-dropping.

For the grand finale of your Swiss adventure, a visit to Zermatt is essential. This charming village is shadowed by the iconic Matterhorn, one of the most recognizable mountains in the world. One of the best ways to experience the Matterhorn is by taking the Gornergrat Railway, which starts in Zermatt and takes you up to 3,100 meters for some of the best views of the mountain. We got up super early to catch the first train, and the views were breathtaking. Two lakes offer some of the best reflections of the Matterhorn, and if the conditions are just right, you can see a perfect reflection of the peak in the water.
For those looking to get even closer to the Matterhorn, I highly recommend taking the gondola up to Schwarzsee. From there, you can hike up to the base of the Matterhorn, which was one of my favorite experiences in Zermatt. The energy of the mountains is palpable, and being surrounded by such beauty is truly invigorating.
